Through the Mariposa Foundation, members of Team Mariposa gather together, discuss common problems, and find shared solutions to make a measurable difference.
The Mariposa Foundation is an international organization founded in 2005. Currently made up of a few hundred force for good contributors, the foundation and its work are guided by the purposes and principles contained in the founding principles of Mariposa as a company.
The Mariposa Foundation has evolved over the years to keep pace with a rapidly changing world.
Although one thing has remained the same: the Foundation remains the one place in the company where all the members of Team Mariposa can gather together, discuss problematic issues, and find shared solutions that benefit Canadian society and also other societies throughout the world.
The Canadian people are shouting. Our nation needs positive change, and the Canadian people as consumers deserve more from the companies that service them. Therefore, corporate responsibility and social commitment are crucial to the overall success of our Canadian civilization. Philanthropic action tops the list of Mariposa’s priorities, with focus and commitment across all of our business units. We must remain true to who we are, which defines us as an honourable and respectable company — Melvin Guthrie.

The many issues of poverty, and the families that are struggling and just barely getting by in their daily life, should not exist in a progressed nation as Canada. At Mariposa, we believe that there are no excuses for any degree of poverty; therefore we are astute to such problematic issues that exist for so many families and individual people across Canada. Rest assured, we are committed to doing everything within our scope of abilities to address all sorts of issues that pertain to poverty and disparity. Helping our fellow Canadians who are presently struggling is of the utmost priority to the Mariposa Foundation.
Helping military personnel, their families, and the overall communities that surround military installations is a task that we among Team Mariposa take very seriously since many of us have also served.
From assisting the Royal Canadian Legion to individual veterans, we among Team Mariposa are committed to doing whatever it takes to help in any way that we can.
The Conti’s themselves are farmers in both Canada and Italy and for many more of us among Team Mariposa are from the great rural farming communities of Canada. Therefore, to lend help to our fellow farmers is a passionate instinct.
For over a decade, the Mariposa Foundation has been a proud sponsor and contributor to Farm Aid Canada. We among Team Mariposa are committed to many force for good initiatives that address rural community development and the progression of Canada’s agricultural sector.
