Mariposa's Timeline

Mariposa was founded by Giovanni Conti and the company was established as Mariposa Painting & Decorating Canada. Mariposa's operations primarily began in the City of Etobicoke (which is now a borough of the Metropolitan City of Toronto).

1967

Mariposa Homes Canada was established as residential property developer, building new and refurbishing existing homes throughout western Toronto, from its hub of operations in Etobicoke to Swansea, High Park, and Parkdale.

Mariposa Decorum Canada was established as a single furniture store attached to Conti Hardware Store, and was located in southern Etobicoke.

Mariposa Homes expanded its operations to Muskoka, and began building cottage and country style homes.

Mariposa Homes expanded its operations to Peterborough and the Kawarthas, and began building affordable and retirement housing.
